The CSMH Foundation exists solely to provide resources to meet the needs of the Charter School of Morgan Hill. Through generous donations from the CSMH School community via the Annual Giving Program, Class Supply Campaign and the Gala Event, the Foundation provides these resources with grants as directed by our donors and as requested by CSMH. Some of the programs supported by the Foundation are highlighted below.
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
The importance of a high quality learning environment to student success cannot be overstated. A priority of the Foundation is to fund requests from CSMH to improve facilities and equipment with renovations such as new classrooms, technology modernization, playground equipment, safety enhancements and classroom and building upgrades.
FIELD TRIPS
Hands-on, Project-Based learning is the focus of the curriculum for the Charter School of Morgan Hill. The Foundation supports this philosophy by funding all field trips within California. Foundation grants ensure that all students who want to experience the adventure and learning experience of field trips are able to do so. From overnight trips to Sacramento and the Santa Cruz mountains to day trips to museums, we are grateful to be able to provide students with these hands-on learning opportunities.
CLASS SUPPLIES
A variety of instructional materials and class supplies are a critical component of the Project-Based program at CSMH. The Agriculture program requires feed for the chickens, goats and pigs plus gardening supplies and plants. Science classrooms need microscopes. Projects require materials to build roller coasters and create the 8th grade Poetry Café. The list never ends but the Foundation grants are there to support the students’ creativity and learning.
